For more than two decades, Peter "Oasis" Prudente has been deftly maneuvering as a behind-the-scenes maven in music and media, actively playing a role in bringing some of the most talented creatives to the forefront of pop culture. He got his start promoting concerts for NYC's underground music scene, launching the careers of some of our most beloved and respected hip-hop artists such as Eminem, Outkast, and Kid Cudi, among others.
He flexed his creative muscles outside of music, too, producing two plays— Deez Nuts and Ninjas on Ice, respectively— and Red Bull Snowscrapers, a live-broadcast snowboarding event on New York’s East River. With rapper 50 Cent, he produced Thisis50 Fest, a music festival on Governor’s Island.
Prudente has spent his time at New York University’s famed campus radio station as the on-air host of Now...Where Were We?, a weekly show celebrating new music, discourse and culture, tackling subjects like obesity, mental health and wellness in the hip-hop community. Past guests include: restauranter Michael Chernow, Noah Callahan-Bever, rapper Young M.A., New York Times Best Selling Author Robin Arzón, music producer Benny Blanco, author Howard Bloom, talent manager Paul Rosenberg, among others.
